The red SD-BH1001-R deserves its own reference because the SD-BH1001 manual adds a dedicated Sandwich Loaf program. It is not simply the yellow SD-BH1000 described in another color. Panasonic's numbered table contains twenty-three selections, including that approximately three-hour course. A seller record identifies the red R suffix and barcode 4549077456724, while the maker's operating manual covers the SD-BH1001 base model and illustrates the red controls. Those source roles remain separate.

This is a Japanese-market, AC 100 V appliance, specified for 50–60 Hz. The manual's domestic-use boundary keeps it outside direct-use US buying matches. An imported listing's availability or plug photograph does not change that rating. The information here is useful for an existing owner or someone deliberately researching that regional model; it does not establish a current offer, price, bundle, or hands-on baking performance.

A separate sandwich recipe route

Sandwich Loaf is menu 4 and takes about three hours. The manual provides recipes and slicing guidance for using that bread in sandwiches, so its presence is more specific than a general claim that any white loaf can be sliced. It gives an owner a distinct programmed route to follow. The table allows the raisin function and reservation for this course but does not mark independent crust-shade selection as available. That is a useful example of why controls should be checked course by course.

Other familiar choices remain separate. Ordinary white bread takes four hours, Pain de mie four hours fifty minutes, and Soft Bread four hours twenty minutes. Rapid White is one hour fifty-five minutes, while French and Whole Wheat each take five hours. A buyer should compare these actual programs rather than expect the new sandwich entry to replace every ordinary bread setting. It is a particular option within the menu, with its own recipe requirements.

The one-loaf format is not a pound selector

Panasonic identifies the machine as a 1斤 type. No US-pound size selector is documented. The standard recipes use measured ingredients, but a flour quantity is not the final loaf's weight. The documentation does not establish numerical pound settings. It also avoids calling the appliance a one-pound machine merely because an English seller describes it as one loaf. The owner's useful comparison is the recipe quantity and finished shape they need.

Rice Flour Bread with wheat and without wheat are menus 11 and 12, taking two hours thirty minutes and one hour fifty-five minutes respectively. The without-wheat recipe includes a specified gluten-free rice-bread mix option at 300 g of mix. That does not create a general-purpose Gluten Free menu with pound-size controls. The with-wheat formula is a different recipe, and the without-wheat directions restrict ingredient substitutions. These distinctions matter more than a broad rice-bread label when selecting an appropriate formula.

Automatic additions have ingredient and menu limits

The yeast case and raisin-and-nut container are separate. Dry yeast is loaded according to the covered recipe, while suitable inclusions go into the other container. The manual limits the combined inclusion load to sixty grams. It gives different treatment for ingredients that are wet, sticky, or liable to melt. Cheese and chocolate, for example, use an attended addition route instead of being treated as ordinary dry fruit.

The menu chart explicitly supports inclusion handling for Bread Dough and the natural-yeast bread and dough programs. Pizza Dough lacks the raisin option. An owner should select the correct addition setting before starting, and follow the recipe's preparation and quantity instructions. Automatic yeast feed is not a substitute for the inclusion function, nor does either compartment establish full-cycle customization. Their benefit is controlling specific ingredient steps within the documented preset workflow.

Natural yeast starts with a specified culture

The natural-yeast sequence includes a twenty-four-hour starter-preparation program, a seven-hour loaf program, and a four-hour dough program. The booklet specifies Hoshino natural-yeast bread starter and a supplied starter container for preparing the culture. It then explains refrigeration and use of the finished starter. This is useful recipe support for that method, but it does not promise to cultivate an arbitrary wild sourdough starter or adapt its fermentation to any recipe.

For ordinary dry-yeast preparation, Bread Dough takes an hour and Pizza Dough forty-five minutes. The natural-yeast dough route gives an owner another fixed preparation program before shaping and baking outside the machine. None of these choices establishes an editor for knead, rise, and bake times or saved personal sequences. A baker whose primary requirement is adjusting fermentation stages should seek explicit control instructions rather than infer them from the existence of a natural-yeast menu.

One timing conflict needs to stay unresolved

The inspected manual chart lists Arrange Bread, menu 10, at three hours fifteen minutes. Panasonic's specification page instead gives two hours fifteen minutes for its semi-automatic Arrange Bread field. The earlier SD-BH1000 chart also uses two hours fifteen minutes, which makes silent transfer between models particularly unhelpful. A definitive duration is not established by those conflicting sources. An owner planning that attended program should check the actual display and the relevant instruction edition.

Quick Bread at fifty-four minutes, Soy Scone at fifty-eight minutes, Cake at ninety minutes, and fresh chocolate at seventeen minutes are other distinct operations. The short bread-like tasks include specified early manual work and their own ingredients; they are not accelerated ordinary yeast loaves. Jam and compote have adjustable task durations, but adjustment of those cooking tasks is not evidence of a programmable bread cycle.

Reservation and maintenance shape daily use

Reservation uses the completion time on the clock and is available only on the marked bread courses. Ordinary eligible breads reach thirteen hours from the current time, while natural-yeast bread is limited to ten. Sandwich Loaf has a minimum reservation of three hours ten minutes. Dough, rapid bread, and the nonbread tasks are not general timer choices. A matching recipe and the selected course determine whether the desired schedule is practical.

The maker lists 24.1 cm width, 30.4 cm depth, 32.7 cm height, about six kilograms, and 370 watts. Allow separate room to open the lid and lift the pan. Hand washing protects the fluorine-resin-coated pan and paddle; dishwasher cleaning and abrasive tools are prohibited. The SD-BH1001-R is most relevant to an informed regional owner who wants its sandwich and specified natural-yeast recipes. Its tradeoff is fixed program structure, regional power requirements, and the unresolved Arrange Bread timing that distinguishes careful ownership guidance from an overconfident feature summary.
